PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISION FOR LPC LICENSURE I have a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and have been supervising Masters level counselors and psychologists for over five years. I am also in on-going consultation groups and meet with my own supervisors routinely. Sessions with counselors seeking licensure as Licensed Professional Counselors need to be set for a minimum of once each month or as frequently as needed to complete 90 hours of face-to-face supervision over a three year time frame (for masters level counselors). Counselors wishing to split supervision time between myself and an MSW or other licensed mental health professional supervisor may do so as long as LPC supervision constitutes at least one-half of the total supervision hours (45 hours for three years). Supervision includes case study discussion, professional issues, continuing education, problem-solving in developing the licensure plan, and any other needs the counselor may experience. Fees: Information may be obtained on fees by contacting Paddy Kennington. Step One is to visit the Web-site of the Composite Board for LPC licensure and download all the necessary forms and requirements. Step Two is to call me at (678) 773-1630. I always meet with potential supervisees for an initial discussion to determine if we can work together emotionally and if my background and education most closely fits your counseling career goals. |
